New Delhi: Northern Railway has been actively managing the increased passenger demand during the Chhath festival by operating 28 Special Trains on from Delhi area Friday this week, following the 30 Special Trains run on Thursday this week. This initiative is part of a larger effort by Indian Railways, which is running over 12,000 special trains nationwide to accommodate travelers.

The Special Trains are departing from various stations, including New Delhi, Anand Vihar Terminal, Shakur Basti, Delhi Junction, Hazrat Nizamuddin, Shamli, and Rohtak, ensuring that Chhath devotees can reach their destinations safely and comfortably. In a culturally enriching move, major railway stations in the Delhi area are enhancing the travel experience by playing traditional Bhojpuri Chhath songs over their announcement systems. This initiative aims to connect passengers with the cultural essence of Bihar, creating a festive atmosphere as trains arrive and passengers are greeted by familiar melodies. Travelers have expressed their gratitude for the arrangements made by Indian Railways, highlighting the operational efficiency and cultural welcome. Passengers have noted the excellent arrangements, including ticketing, cleanliness, mobile toilets, and additional ticket counters, which have contributed to a memorable travel experience during this significant festival. Northern Railways remains dedicated to providing essential amenities and ensuring a safe and culturally resonant journey for all Chhath Puja devotees.
