Srinagar | : The Court of Special Judge in Kulgam has issued a Proclamation under Section 84 of the BNSS against Zakir Ahmad Ganie, a wanted terrorist linked to multiple terror-related activities in the district.
Ganie, a resident of Mutalhama, Kulgam, is implicated in Case FIR No. 200/2023, which falls under various sections of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA). The court has granted him a 30-day period to surrender to the authorities, warning that failure to do so will result in further legal action. Prior to this proclamation, an open-ended Non-Bailable Warrant had already been issued against Ganie. In compliance with the court’s directives, a police team led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police for Kulgam has disseminated the proclamation order by posting it at Ganie’s residence and other prominent locations in the village to ensure public awareness and compliance.
