Ramban|: Department of Agriculture Ramban  successfully organized a one-day training program on Soil Health Management at Panchayat Trigam, Khari, under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).

The program was organised under the guidance of Chief Agriculture Officer, Dr. Vinay Kumar Jandial, who emphasized that healthy soils are the backbone of sustainable agriculture and called upon farmers to adopt scientific practices for improving soil quality. District Agriculture Officer, Kuldeep Bassan and Agriculture Extension Officer Khari, Mohd. Hussain, coordinated the event and interacted with the farmers.

Experts delivered detailed sessions on sustainable soil management, prevention of soil degradation, and judicious use of fertilizers. Emphasis was laid on organic farming, balanced nutrition, crop rotation, and incorporation of organic matter to maintain soil health.

High-quality seeds of different crops were distributed free of cost among farmers to promote diversification, enhance productivity, and encourage the adoption of improved varieties suited to the local agro-climatic conditions.

Farmers actively participated in discussions on soil testing, nutrient management, and low-cost eco-friendly practices. Actionable plans were prepared for improving soil health at the Panchayat level, ensuring long-term sustainability of agriculture.

The event concluded with a message that healthy soil is the foundation of a healthy nation, and collective efforts are required to ensure sustainable agricultural growth in the district.
