Srinagar : The IRP-6th Battalion on Tuesday organized a vibrant Civic Action Programme for the 2025-26 year at three local schools in Srinagar: Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Natipora, Govt. Girls Middle School Amira Kadal, and Govt. Boys Middle School Lachmanpora Batamaloo.
The initiative included the distribution of educational kits, refreshments, and water purifiers to students, emphasizing the commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. The events featured comprehensive interaction sessions where students and teachers discussed educational issues and the youth’s role in nation-building. Cultural performances by students added to the festivities. A significant concern raised during these sessions was the need to combat drug abuse in society. CO IRP 6th Bn, Abdul Hakim Munshi, underscored the importance of Civic Action Programmes conducted by the J&K Police, highlighting education as a transformative power for the nation and the vital role of students as future leaders.
