The day, celebrated annually on September 5, marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a revered scholar and the first Vice President of independent India, who significantly contributed to education and nation-building.
During his interaction with National Awardee teachers, PM Modi praised their commitment to education and urged them to inspire self-reliance among students. He stressed the importance of reducing dependence on foreign products, encouraging children to recognize and list foreign items they use daily, thereby fostering a sense of awareness and motivation for a new generation.
