Khatana Welcomes PM’s Call to be ‘Vocal for Local’, Says India Ready to Face All Challenges

New Delhi: Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Gulam Ali Khatana on Thursday expressed support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s comments during a Union Cabinet meeting regarding self-reliance and the ‘vocal for local’ initiative.
MP Khatana highlighted that the Prime Minister’s message reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening the economy and empowering citizens at all levels. He noted that Modi’s emphasis on promoting Made in India products is crucial for enhancing domestic manufacturing and decreasing reliance on imports. Khatana also pointed out the significance of expanding schemes like PM SVANidhi, which offers subsidized loans to street vendors, as a means to directly benefit marginalized communities and ensure that economic growth reaches the poorest citizens. Furthermore, Khatana agreed with the Prime Minister’s directive for ministries to implement government programs beyond Delhi, facilitating better understanding and access for citizens in rural areas. He underscored that the focus on self-reliance, the promotion of Indian products, and the expansion of welfare measures are essential for long-term economic strength. Khatana emphasised the collective responsibility of leaders and citizens to advance the vision of a robust and self-sufficient India.
