Ramban | :  Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan Saturday chaired the District Level Task Force Committee (DLTFC) meeting under the Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Generation Program (JKREGP),  aimed at addressing the challenge of unemployment by fostering local entrepreneurship, creating self-employment opportunities, and supporting youth-led business ventures.

The J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) is the implementing agency of the scheme, ensuring financial and technical assistance for viable projects.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, District Officer KVIB Ramban (Convener of DLTFC), Lead District Manager (LDM), Cluster Head J&K Bank, Superintendent ITI, and other concerned officers.

The Committee examined 70 applications received under JKREGP. After thorough scrutiny, 57 applications were approved, paving the way for the establishment of new enterprises in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner   emphasized that the scheme will significantly contribute to empowering unemployed youth, promoting entrepreneurship, and strengthening the rural economy of Ramban. He directed the implementing agencies, especially Bankers, to ensure timely disbursement of loan and other support to the approved applicants so that their business ventures can be launched without delay.
