The court sentenced him to three and a half years of simple imprisonment and imposed fines totaling Rs 30,000. In Anantnag, Habibullah Kumar, a Junior Assistant in the Block Development Office, was convicted for demanding a bribe of Rs 1,800 to process arrears bills for in-situ promotions.
