Srinagar | :  The Police in Anantnag organized a debate on ‘Nasha Mukht Abiyan’ at Govt Degree College Bijbehara as part of their commitment to combat drug abuse.

The event, held under the Civic Action Programme, saw enthusiastic participation from students across various schools, who presented arguments both for and against the motion. The primary aim was to raise awareness about the increasing issue of narcotic abuse and to promote the importance of a drug-free society, particularly among the youth. The debate began with an inaugural speech highlighting the crucial role educational institutions play in spreading awareness about the dangers of drug addiction. A panel of judges evaluated the participants, resulting in Faiqa Fayaz, Musaib Rayees, and Aayat Alim being awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions, respectively. In the concluding remarks, the principal commended the collaborative efforts of students, faculty, and police in organizing the event, underscoring the significance of such initiatives in addressing drug-related issues.
