Doda |:  District Programme Officer (DPO) Poshan Projects, Akther Hussain Qazi Friday visited Poshan Project Assar to assess the implementation of Special Registration Drive under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), launched across Doda District on July 15, 2025.

The event was attended by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Block Medical Officer (BMO), Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.SP),   CDPO and civil society members of the area.

During the visit, the DPO Doda interacted with field functionaries, including Anganwadi Workers, Supervisors and beneficiaries. He appreciated the efforts of the CDPO Assar and her team for effective community mobilization and on-ground execution of the drive.

Addressing the gathering, the DPO advised the field staff to work with utmost dedication to achieve 100% targets under all components of the Poshan Abhiyaan, including PMMVY, Supplementary Nutrition, Growth Monitoring, Health Check-ups and IEC activities. He exhorted the staff to maintain transparency and accountability in working and ensure coverage of every eligible beneficiary.

The programme included on-the-spot registrations, beneficiary interactions and awareness sessions.

Later, the DPO reviewed records and the services delivery mechanism at the Anganwadi Centre.

The Special Registration Drive under PMMVY will continue across all Anganwadi Centres of Poshan Project Assar, with a focused approach towards saturation of scheme benefits.
