Srinagar | : Apni Party’s top  leaders gathered on Monday at the party headquarters in Srinagar to hold an extraordinary meeting aimed at discussing pressing public and political issues, as well as certain party matters. The crucial meeting was chaired by the party president, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari.

Addressing th meeting Bukhari highlighted the leaders’ comprehensive discussions on the political and security situation in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as pressing public grievances. The party leaders present on the occasion expressed serious concerns regarding the elected government’s failure to address the challenges faced by the region’s residents. They urged the central government to take meaningful actions to resolve these issues, noting that despite the Prime Minister’s intentions to connect with the people, no effective measures have been implemented. The Apni Party leaders emphasized their commitment to fostering sustained peace in Jammu and Kashmir, advocating for peace with dignity as many citizens feel apprehensive and pressured. They called for concrete steps from the central government to ensure a sense of security, allowing people to live without fear. In light of recent events, including the Pahalgam terror attack, they urged a review of the cases of prisoners, advocating for the release of those not involved in serious crimes to help them reintegrate into society. Following the meeting, General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir addressed reporters, expressing disappointment over the elected government’s inability to tackle pressing public issues, which has led to disillusionment among voters. He noted that the Apni Party’s clear and truthful agenda is gaining recognition and acceptance among the public, reinforcing the party’s commitment to integrity and transparency in its political approach.
