Budgam: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan (Drug-Free India Campaign), intensive Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities were successfully conducted at Government Middle School (GMS) Mammat and Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Beerwah.
The initiative aims to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among students and the community.
The campaign featured interactive sessions, awareness workshops, and engaging activities designed to educate students on the physical, mental, and social consequences of drug addiction. Experts and counsellors highlighted preventive measures and encouraged youth to adopt positive habits and peer resistance strategies.
Various speakers on the occasion deliberated the importance of educating the youth about the ill effects of substance abuse among the young generation. Nasha Mukt Abhiyan is empowering students to make informed choices and become ambassadors of change in their communities.
The events saw enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and local stakeholders, reinforcing the collective commitment to a drug-free future. Similar campaigns will continue across schools and villages in the district under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan framework.
