Udhampur | : Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee Friday to review the implementation status of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban 2.0.
During the meeting, the DC took a detailed municipality-wise review of the applications submitted by eligible households under the scheme and sought updates from the concerned officers regarding the progress of the same. Stress was also laid on maintaining utmost transparency and accountability, besides ensuring timely disposal of the cases.
The Committee approved 39 field verified cases after thorough scrutiny. With regard to the pending applications, the DC exhorted the concerned officers to extend proactive support and handholding to applicants to facilitate the timely completion of formalities and to ensure that no eligible beneficiary is left behind.
She further directed Executive Officers and Tehsildars to facilitate land title transfer of eligible applicants so that applications are processed in time.
The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Singh, Chief Planning Officer, Uttam Singh, Tehsildars and Executive Officers of the Municipal Committees of Udhampur, Ramnagar, Chenani.
