‘Cong, NC Misleading Kashmir Youth’, Says MP Khatana

Uri | : BJP’s Member Parliament Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana on Monday accused Congress and National Conference of misleading the youth of Kashmir and taking them away from mainstream society and towards destruction.

Addressing a rally at the Baba Fareed Shrine in Garkote, Uri MP Khatana emphasized the contrast between their past governance, which he claimed resulted in increased violence and loss of life, and the Prime Minister’s vision for a prosperous future characterized by education, tourism, and economic empowerment. Khatana outlined a comprehensive plan for enhancing Uri’s facilities, particularly at the Baba Fareed site, proposing improvements in road connectivity, signage, rest areas, and lodging for pilgrims to establish Uri as a significant religious and eco-tourism destination. He encouraged local youth to pursue entrepreneurship, particularly in handicrafts, adventure tourism, and hospitality, with a focus on empowering tribal communities. He highlighted various Central Government initiatives, such as PM Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, and Kisan Credit Card, urging locals to take advantage of these programs. Khatana specifically called on women to participate in skill development and livelihood missions.
