Kulgam : Police on Thursday arrested an absconder evading justice in connection with a 2006 murder case was arrested by a police team from Police Station Kulgam.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Police said that the accused, identified as Tariq Ahmad Ganie, S/O Mohd Subhan Ganie, R/O Hassanpora Bagh, Qaimoh, was sought following an FIR registered on September 7, 2006, regarding a fatal altercation. After the accused absconded during proceedings, an arrest warrant was issued by the Court of Sessions Judge, Kulgam, leading to his recent apprehension and production before the court for further legal action.
