Srinagar: Below is the weeklong timeline of key engagements of J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah witnessed within and outside J&K this week:-

  1. LG Visits Nunwan Base Camp, Reviews Amarnath Yatra Arrangements: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the Nunwan base camp at Pahalgam, interacting with pilgrims, service providers, langer sevadars, sanitation workers, and officials. He reviewed the ongoing arrangements for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, praising the spirit of unity and mutual respect among communities celebrating the pilgrimage.
  2. LG Addresses Tourism Secretaries’ Meet In Srinagar: LG Manoj Sinha addressed the Tourism Secretaries’ meet of Union Territories in Srinagar. He said the conference is a befitting reply to terrorism and reflects Jammu & Kashmir’s march toward peace, progress, and prosperity under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
  3. AIIMS Jammu Director Briefs CM on Institutional Strengthening: The Director of AIIMS Jammu met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and briefed him on the institute’s functioning. The CM assured full support for strengthening AIIMS Jammu as a centre of excellence in the region.
  4. LG Reviews Progress of PM TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan: LG Manoj Sinha chaired a meeting with Deputy Commissioners and Health officials to review the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan in Jammu & Kashmir. He emphasized the importance of media awareness campaigns and urged health staff to work diligently for the program’s success.
  5. Amarnath Yatra Surpasses One Lakh Pilgrims: The holy Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra has crossed 1 lakh pilgrims within the first six days. The pilgrimage is proceeding smoothly on both Pahalgam and Baltal routes, with more devotees expected to arrive in the coming days.
  6. CM Emphasizes J&K-West Bengal Tourism Collaboration: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah highlighted TTF Kolkata as a key platform to explore collaboration between Jammu & Kashmir and West Bengal to promote mutual growth in tourism and strengthen cultural and economic ties.
  7. CM Chairs JKTDC Board Meeting to Boost Tourism Infra: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah chaired the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation Board meeting to review performance and accelerate tourism infrastructure and hospitality services.
  8. CM Inaugurates TTF Kolkata 2025 Showcasing J&K Tourism: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inaugurated TTF Kolkata 2025, India’s oldest and most trusted B2B travel trade show. He highlighted Jammu & Kashmir as an all-season destination with growing infrastructure and investor-friendly policies, inviting travellers from West Bengal to rediscover the region.
  9. CM Highlights J&K Tourism Potential At TTF Kolkata 2025: On the sidelines of TTF Kolkata 2025, the Chief Minister interacted with the press, emphasizing Jammu & Kashmir’s immense tourism potential and government initiatives to position the region as a premier travel destination.
  10. CM Omar Engages Tour Operators Nationwide: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah held a special interaction with tour operators from across the country, highlighting Jammu & Kashmir’s unique tourism experiences and inviting them to collaborate with government support.
  11. LG Inaugurates ‘Bharat Sanrachna J&K 2025’ Exhibition: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the ‘Bharat Sanrachna J&K 2025’ exhibition and public outreach initiative to create awareness about government schemes, welfare programs, and highlight innovation and technology-driven development across sectors in Jammu & Kashmir.
