Srinagar : Police in Handwara have initiated a two-week training course focused on investigation and core investigative skills for Investigating Officers and Officials at the District Training Centre, DPL Handwara.
The program was inaugurated by SSP Handwara, Shri Mushtaq Ahmed Chowdhury-JKPS, who underscored the necessity of employing modern and scientific methods in criminal investigations. He stressed the importance of professional investigative skills in delivering justice, maintaining the rule of law, and enhancing public trust in police operations. The training course aims to address essential components of investigation, including crime scene management, evidence collection and preservation, statement recording, charge-sheet preparation, the application of forensic tools, and relevant legal provisions. The sessions will be led by expert officers and subject matter specialists, ensuring an interactive learning experience. This initiative reflects the ongoing capacity-building efforts of Handwara Police, aimed at keeping personnel informed about the latest investigative techniques and legal frameworks.
