Srinagar : The School Education Department has mandated that educational institutions continue remedial teaching during the summer vacations for schools that performed poorly in the JKBOSE Class 10th and 12th examinations. This initiative aims to provide sustained academic support to bridge learning gaps and prepare students for upcoming biannual exams. Classes will be held in the early morning hours, starting at 8:00 am, to create a conducive learning environment and protect students from extreme heat. The focus of the remedial teaching will be on strengthening fundamental concepts, offering individual attention, clarifying doubts, and equipping students with exam-oriented preparation. Heads of institutions are required to ensure that the remedial teaching adheres to a subject-wise plan with specific timelines, and they must monitor the process daily, maintaining written records. Detailed schedules will be displayed on school notice boards for transparency, and teachers are encouraged to use interactive and student-friendly teaching methods while regularly assessing student progress. Parents will be informed and motivated to ensure their children attend these remedial classes consistently. Cluster Heads are tasked with monitoring the quality of these classes through periodic school visits, and they must submit daily reports, including photographs and performance reviews, to the relevant authorities. The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has emphasized that any non-compliance with these instructions will result in serious disciplinary action against officials and teachers. Chief Education Officers are directed to implement these orders thoroughly to ensure that students receive the necessary academic support to succeed in the upcoming supplementary JKBOSE examinations.
