Srinagar: Below is the weeklong timeline of key engagements of J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah witnessed within and outside J&K This week:-

 

  1. CM Omar Meets British Envoy In Delhi: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron and her team, including Alexandra Knowles and Bhavna Vij, to discuss regional developments and bilateral cooperation.
  2. CM Holds Talks With Tour Operators In Srinagar:

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah met with the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) to promote tourism and explore strategies for sustainable growth in the sector.

  1. LG Sinha Launches Coffee Table Book on J&K’s Transformation: LG Sinha launched Reimagining Jammu & Kashmir, a coffee table book by photojournalist Ashish Sharma, capturing the region’s post-2019 transformation under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.
  2. CM Omar Welcomes First Hajj Pilgrims: CM Omar Abdullah received the first batch of 178 Hajj pilgrims at Srinagar Airport, congratulating them and praying for peace, prosperity, and blessings for all.
  3. LG Sinha Reviews Police Parade In Udhampur: LG Sinha reviewed the Passing-Out Parade of 49 DySsP and 1112 PSI probationers at SKPA Udhampur, urging them to uphold the values and traditions of J&K Police.
  4. LG Sinha Lays Foundation For School Infra: LG Sinha laid the foundation stone for an auditorium and upgradation work at the Govt Higher Secondary School in Gurha Slathia, responding to public demands raised during his earlier visit.
  5. Tourist Spots Reopened in Kashmir, Jammu: LG Sinha ordered the reopening of several tourist destinations, including Betab Valley, Verinag Garden, Kokernag Garden, and Achabal Garden, after temporary precautionary closures.
  6. CM Reviews Muharram-ul-Haram Arrangements: CM Omar chaired a review meeting on Muharram preparations, directing officials to ensure safety, coordination, and adequate facilities across Jammu and Kashmir.
  7. CM Omar Meets Union Minister Shekhawat In Srinagar: CM Omar Abdullah welcomed Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to Srinagar for discussions on strengthening tourism and infrastructure development.
  8. CM Reviews Summer Preparedness In Jammu: CM Omar chaired a meeting at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu to review the status of essential services and ensure seamless delivery during the summer season.
  9. CM Inaugurates New College Building,Bus Service in Samba: CM Omar inaugurated the new building of Government Degree College, Purmandal, and flagged off five buses to enhance accessibility for students.
  10. CM Inaugurates Raabita Office In Jammu: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inaugurated the Raabita office in Jammu, a new initiative aimed at fostering stronger connections between the government and the people.
