A comprehensive assessment of the district’s security scenario was also conducted.
SSP Shopian emphasized the importance of efficient law enforcement, adherence to proper investigative procedures, and the timely disposal of cases in line with new legal provisions. He instructed officers to adopt a proactive approach in tackling drug-related offenses under the NDPS Act and take strict action against individuals involved in unlawful activities under the UAPA. SHOs and supervisory officers were further directed to enhance investigative techniques using modern methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Other key points of discussion included intelligence gathering, strengthening anti-drug operations, and improving inter-agency coordination to maintain a robust security framework. Officers were directed to remain highly vigilant, especially in sensitive areas, to effectively counter any potential threats to peace and stability in the region.
