Police organizes one-day “Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas” across the Distt B’gam

Srinagar : Police in Budgam organized one-day “Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas” awareness programme at various police establishments across the district with the aim to educate the public about cyber threats and safety measures.
Police officers on the occasion discussed various cyber threats, including hacking techniques, phishing, identity theft and emphasized preventive measures to protect one’s digital presence. The participants were also cautioned to keep their social media accounts secure and safe and also be aware while chatting with unknown people on Facebook messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter etc.Participants were encouraged to share their concerns and experiences related to cyber threats and expert advice was provided to address these issues. The event emphasized the role of the police in ensuring a secure digital environment and encouraged general public to report cybercrimes without any hesitation.
