Jammu : MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed Ahmad on Monday staged a protest over civilian deaths and abrogation of the Article 370 inside the central hall of Legislative Assembly when Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha began delivering his address.
Reports said that as soon as the LG started delivering his address to the MLAs, MLA Langate and younger brother of jailed MP Er. Rashid stood up and waved placards seeking justice for families of Wasim Ahmed, who was killed in Army firing in Baramulla and Makhan Din, who committed suicide after allegedly harassed by police. Khursheed was also heard making some comments on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah but that was not audible in the media gallery. As Khursheed continued to protest, the Marshals escorted him out of the House. Later, Khursheed staged a protest outside the Assembly complex and shouted slogans seeking justice for families of Wasim and Makhan Din. “Makhan Din Aur Wasim Ke Warisoon Ko Insaf Doo( Provide justice to families of Makhan and Wasim),” he shouted
