Shopian : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta on Friday chaired a meeting of concerned officers of line departments to review the district’s progress and performance of indicators under District Good Governance Index here on Friday.
The review focused on evaluating current standings and strategizing improvements in governance metrics.
The Good Governance Index, developed by the J&K Government with the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), assesses the impact of various government interventions at district level and provides futuristic roadmap for improving district level governance and service delivery.
The Deputy Commissioner took detailed sector wise appraisal of performance from all the departments till date.
DC impressed upon all district heads to improve the developmental parameters during the ensuing year by working through effective coordination with a targeted approach.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone,ACD, LDM, DFO, CAO, DPO, Tehsildars, BDOs and other district officers.
