4 gamblers arrested in B’pora, Stake money also seized: Police

Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has arrested four gamblers in Markundal Sumbal Bandipora and seized stake money from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar police said that while acting on a specific inputs regarding gambling activities at Gandh Kol Markundal area of Sumbal, a Police party of Police Station Sumbal raided the spot and arrested four gamblers. Police in its statement identified the arrested gamber as Mohd Abdullah Dar S/o Mohd Sadeeq Dar R/o Pushwari Naidkhai Sumbal, Habibullah Malla S/o Mohd Malla R/o Markundal, Ab Rasheed Dar S/o Mohd Sultan Dar R/o Tengpora Naidkhai Sumbal and Mehraj ud Din Bhat S/o Mohd Sultan Bhat R/o Hurpora Naidkhai Sumbal. Stating that a stake money of ₹13,200 and playing cards were recovered from the possession of the said gamblers Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement said that a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Sumbal besides initiating further investigation.
