DC Poonch greets PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana beneficiary

Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal on Wednesday visited the Power House in Poonch to congratulate a local resident Satpal Singh for benefiting from the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana. Satpal recently installed a solar rooftop system, marking a significant step towards sustainable energy use in the region.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner had a candid discussion with the beneficiary. The latter expressed his sincere gratitude towards the government for this vital initiative, which has afforded people the opportunity to generate and consume their own electricity. “This initiative has greatly improved the living condition of people and contributed to their financial savings” he added.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized that The Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana aims to promote solar energy utilization among households, ensuring a cleaner and more sustainable environment for future generations.
