G’bal: Despite the availability of a new government building, the Sakhi One Stop Centre continues to operate from a rented building, resulting in unnecessary expenditure of government funds in Ganderbal District.
The centre, which provides integrated support and assistance to women affected by violence, has been paying rent for its current location. However, the new government building remains unutilized, sparking concerns about the wastage of public money. Local residents and women’s rights activists are demanding that the authorities shift the centre to the new government building immediately, ensuring better utilization of resources and improved services for women in need. When contacted DSW he said we will shift to Govt building in coming week.
