Srinagar : Apni Party President Syed Mohammad AltafBukhari on Wednesday expressed his anguish over the derogatory remarks made by an Allahabad High Court judge during his speech at an event organized by the VHP recently. However, Bukhari applauded the Supreme Court (SC) for taking note of the reports and seeking details regarding the controversial speech made by the Allahabad High Court (HC) judge.
In a statement issued from party headquarters here, Bukhari said, “It was truly painful to witness a sitting High Court judge making derogatory remarks about a specific community during his speech at a religious event.”
However, commending the highest court of the country for initiating action on the matter, Apni Party President said, “The highest judiciary has always been a beacon of hope for justice in this country. The Supreme Court (SC) has once again upheld this hope by taking note of the reports and seeking details regarding the speech made by Allahabad High Court judge. This action by the SC reflects a strong judicial system committed to protecting the secular values and democratic spirit of our nation.”
