2. Congress Pushes For Statehood Restoration: Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge stated that the party’s priority is to restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. He questioned the BJP’s delay in granting statehood, noting that the region has never transitioned to a Union Territory before, emphasizing that they possess the power to enact this change.
3. Apni Party Leader Endorses Omar Abdullah: In a strategic political move, Muntazir Mohiudin of the Apni Party has withdrawn his nomination from the Budgam constituency, endorsing Omar Abdullah of the National Conference. Mohiudin, after consulting allies, expressed the need for strong leadership in Kashmir and believes Abdullah is the right candidate.

5. Rahul Gandhi To Meet Professionals In J&K: The All India Professionals’ Congress (AIPC) is hosting an exclusive meeting for Jammu and Kashmir professionals with Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi on September 25th. This event aims to facilitate dialogue on regional challenges, providing a platform for professionals to voice their concerns at the national level.
6. Modi Accuses Opposition Of Neglecting Youth: Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the Congress, NC, and PDP of sabotaging the future of Jammu and Kashmir’s youth for political gain. During a rally in Srinagar, he promised employment opportunities and highlighted the current stability in educational institutions, contrasting it with past challenges.
