Jammu: A brief exchange of firing took place between security forces and terrorists early morning on Sunday in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Brief exchange of fire has taken place between terrorists and security forces in the area of Kishtwar Police station,” the police spokesman said.
The search operation is going on, said the spokesman.
Meanwhile, searches are also being carried out in the Basantgarh forest area of Udhampur district after security forces established contact with the terrorists on August 6.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police, however, on Saturday also released sketches of terrorists seen in the recent past in parts of Kathua district.
Police released sketches of four terrorists who were last seen in the dhoks of Malhar, Bani, and Seojdhar.
