Jammu: Stating that before 2014, there was a routine bandh (shutdown) in Jammu due to step motherly treatment and bandh calendar in Kashmir on the call of separatists and militants, BJP National President and Union Minister J P Nadda on Saturday said that this has changed now under the Narendra Modi government at the Centre due to the ‘Saaf Niyat and Saaf Niti’.

Addressing the second day of the BJP working committee meeting here, Nadda said that Modi has simplified these terms into the popular version of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas”. He earlier paid floral tributes on the portrait of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.

Addressing the meeting, he remembered the sacrifices and contributions of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, the founder President of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, on his birth anniversary.

“Mukherjee lead the life like a statesman, a revolutionary, an educationist and visionary. Every BJP worker follows his life and doesn’t yearn for post but lives to serve the nation and society,” said the BJP national president.

He remembered how Mukherjee resisted the permit system for J&K and had to lay down his life in Srinagar jail in unexplained conditions, adding, “four generations have worked since his supreme sacrifice to end the ‘Do Nishan, Do Vidhan, Do pradhan’ on August 5, 2019.

Nadda also remembered the strong leadership of Sher-e-Duggar Pt. Prem Nath Dogra.

He congratulated the J&K BJP cadre for 100 percent result in Lok Sabha elections and added that the third term of Modi government is secured with the incessant dedicated work of BJP cadre.

He said that people have defeated the forces of corruption and nepotism. The Union Minister took a jibe at Congress that it is celebrating its third defeat in a row and it could not even score 100-mark for the third time now.

Nadda said that BJP is run by an ideology and we are unmoved since our inception on our principles of ‘Ekatma ManavVad’ and ‘Antyodya’.

He said that now security forces are given free hand to deal with the militants on the border and in the city in case of their attack and added, “Indian economy has increased from 11th spot to 5th spot.

Pakka road everywhere, tap water to 11 crore houses, 3200 kms border road double lanning, 84 new airports. We are exporting bulletproof jackets, Four crore houses under PMAY, aegis to farmers, highest railway bridge, IIIM, IIT, medical colleges, 2 AIIMS, G-20 meeting in J&K are just a few things to mention,” he said and added that we will make our mark everywhere with clear policy and direction.

J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina, G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister and Election Incharge J&K BJP, National General Secretary and Prabhari J&K Tarun Chugh, National Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Ghulam Ali Khatana, Seh-Prabhari Ashish Sood, former Dy CMs Dr. Nirmal Singh, Kavinder Gupta, General Secretary Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal were also present at the meeting.
