NITI Aayog’s Sampoornata Abhiyan launched in Aspirational Block Manzgam

Initiative aiming at the overall dev & saturation of various indicators

Kulgam : The Sampoornata Abhiyan programme has been launched in Aspirational Block Manzgam, inaugurated by the District Development Council (DDC) Chairperson Kulgam, Mohd Afzal Parrey, and the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir and Guest Observer from NITI Aayog Mateen Nazir.
The inaugural event took place at the Government Higher Secondary School, where a mega programme was organized and the initiative aims at the overall development and saturation of various indicators to transform Manzgam into an inspirational block.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson Mohammad Afzal Parrey highlighted the significance of the Sampoornata Abhiyan, emphasizing that the programme’s implementation will bring visible changes to Manzgam Block.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner outlined the ambitious goal of achieving saturation of set indicators within three months.
He also briefed the participants about the indicators which have to be saturated in the Block..
He stressed upon line departments to work diligently towards the success of this mission to achieve set indicators within the stipulated timeframe.
DDC member Manzgam, Jameela Chowdary, while addressing on the occasion said that the initiative would lead to saturation under set indicators and contribute to the prosperity and development of the Block and will transform it into an inspirational Block.
During the inauguration, multiple stalls were set up to register beneficiaries, and were inspected by the DDC Chairperson, the Deputy Commissioner, and other dignitaries.
Additionally, a marathon organized as part of the event saw enthusiastic participation from students.
The marathon was flagged off by the DDC Chairperson and DC Kulgam from GHSS.
The event marked a significant step forward in the developmental journey of Manzgam, setting a precedent for collaborative efforts aimed at sustainable growth and prosperity.
A pledge was taken during the function to achieve saturation in all the indicators of the Sampoornata Abhiyan and lead the block towards a healthy, empowered, and prosperous community, transforming it from Aspirational to Inspirational.
Meanwhile Mateen Nazir Guest Observer from NITI Aayog informed that the Sampoornata Abhiyan is a transformative 3-month campaign of NITI Aayog of GoI aimed at achieving saturation in 6 key indicators across 112 Aspirational Districts and 500 Aspirational Blocks in India.
Mateen Nazir while interacting with District Officials briefed the initiatives of GoI & ensured his coordination to gear-up the progress in saturating all Indicators of Sampoornata Abhiyan.
JDP, Zahid Sajjad, ACD, Syed Naseer, ACP Nazia Hassan, SDM Noorabad Bashir Ul Hassan and other officers also attended the programme.
