DC Shopian presides over public outreach Prog-Block Diwas at Imamsahib

Says “Onspot grievance resolution key component of Block Diwas”

DC Shopian visits Shrines, Mosques, Markets, Other Places to reviews Eid arrangements

Shopian: To ensure effective service delivery and prompt grievance resolution of the public at their doorsteps, the District Development Commissioner, Faz lul Haseeb, on Wednesday presided over a Public Outreach programme, Block Diwas at Imam Sahib, here.
On the occasion, besides the public of Imam Sahib, locals of adjacent villages- Hendew, Wadipora, Kadigam, Aadakharan, Wasohalan, DK Pora, Wuyan and Losedenow apprised the DDC of various issues ranging from road connectivity to cleanliness of irrigation Khuls and portable drinking water facility. Uninterrupted power supply, repairs of lanes, drains and sanitation issues were also flagged off.
The DDC patiently listened to all the issues and demands put forth by the locals and directed the concerned officers to redress the genuine grievances in a time bound manner, as per their feasibility and nor
Earlier, the DDC sought feedback from the line departments on their ongoing works and reviewed their performance vis a vis developmental targets.
While interacting with the people, DDC said that the block diwas is being organised with the sole objective to provide more transparent, accountable, public-friendly and responsive administration to the people. This initiative of the Government is contributing immensely to good governance, he said.
He said that the purpose of organising such programmes is to reach out to the unreached habitations, listen to their genuine issues and resolve them as per nor
He further added that no stone shall be left unturned in meeting the expectations of the public and fulfilling their genuine issues within a time bound manner.
Additional District Development Commissioner(ADDC) Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, SDM Zainapora,ACP and other districts officers and officials were present on the occasion.
The event concluded with the distribution of scholarship Certificates among Students.
