Jammu: The Relief Organisation has refuted the news titled ‘Jagti Migrant Welfare Movement’ regarding appeal to the Government for release of two months ration and restoration of regular water supply in Jagti Township published by a local daily here yesterday.
The organisation, while terming the news as devoid of facts, clarified that there is no delay in release of ration quota as reflected in the news. It further explained that the ration quota for the month of May and June 2024 has already been released and is being issued.
“As far as supply of drinking water is concerned, this crucial misrepresentation has nothing to do with the facts. There has been no irregular water supply. The Relief Organisation has ensured a consistent and regular water supply to the inhabitants of Jagti Township,” clarified the official communique.
The organisation stated that the newspaper has not taken official version or cross checked the facts with the authorities of Relief Organisation. The article has presented one-sided perspective, and has not taken into account the efforts being put by the Relief Organisation for welfare of the migrants.
