Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested six suspects for being involved in extraction & transportation of minerals from river Vaishow and other Nallahs and seized six vehicles (03 Tippers, 02 Tractors & a Dumper) from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that it has registered cases under relevant sections of law at Police Station Qaimoh and Police Station Devsar besides initiating further investigations into the case.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police appealed people to come forward or Dial-112 regarding any information about illegal extraction of minerals. Police in its statement also warned that people stringent action against those found involved in such activities.
