Bandipora | Nov, 07: Police on Saturday apprehended two individuals during a checking operation at Kangri Chowk, Bandipora, and recovered approximately 4–5 kilograms of a Charas-like substance from their possession.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Police said that the apprehended individuals have been identified as Irfan Ahmad Chopan, S/O Fayaz Ahmad Chopan, R/O Bagh, Bandipora, and Imran Ahmad Sheikh, S/O Late Ali Mohd Sheikh, R/O Sheikh Mohalla, Bandipora. A case under FIR No. 181/2026 under Sections 8/20-29 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bandipora, and further investigation is underway to establish the source and intended destination of the contraband.
