Bandipora : The District Election Officer (DEO) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman on Tuesday undertook an inspection of EVM and Material Strong Room established at Mini Secretariat Bandipora where the EVMs and other election materials are stored securely.
With the aim to ensure adherence to Election Commission guidelines, the DEO on the occasion inspected various essential aspects for the smooth conduct of elections and assessed the arrangements of dispatch center, election material management, and EVM management.
He emphasized the importance of adhering to Election Commission norms in letter and spirit and directed concerned officials to ensure smooth storage and transportation of EVM machines besides reviewed security arrangements to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.
The DEO on the occasion stressed the concerned to ensure that every measure is being taken to ensure a free, fair, and transparent electoral process.
The DEO was accompanied by ADC Umar Shafi Pandit, ACR Shabir Ahmad Wani, ACD Mumtaz Ahmad Pir and other concerned.
