Srinagar: Following is the timeline Of weeklong engagements with public activities within and outside Jammu & Kashmir:-
On 26 Feb, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated the 2nd Aerosol Winter School – ‘Manthan 2024’ at Central University of Jammu. He commended the joint endeavour of Central University of Jammu, Sindhu Central University Ladakh and Indian National Young Academy of Science to impart hands-on training on required instrumentation and analytical techniques as well as remote sensing tools for air quality studies to meet the objectives of the National Clean Air Programme.

On February 27, LG Manoj Sinha attended the Special Session on Jammu Kashmir at Global Summit organized by TV9 Network at New Delhi.
On Feb 28, LG Manoj Sinha released the book titled “Empowering Women in India: Exploring Regional Genderscapes” written by Prof. Kavita Suri, at Raj Bhawan. The Lt Governor congratulated the author and conveyed best wishes for her future endeavours.
On Feb 28, Anu Gupta, senior BJP Leader and Sh Sanjay Gandotra, President, Sarv Shakti Chandi Mata Mandir Jammu called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan.
On Feb 29, LG Manoj Sinha interacted with the people and listened to their grievances during “LG’s Mulaqaat”- Live Public Grievance Hearing programme, at Civil Secretariat. The Lt Governor sought details of complaints received on JKIGRAMS portal and action taken report on public outreach programmes from the concerned Administrative Secretaries, Deputy Commissioners and senior officials.
On Feb 29, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha inaugurated ‘JK Youth Conclave 2024’ and launched the second season of ‘Inspire GenZ’ and ‘Beats of J&K’ initiatives of Department of Information and Public Relations, at Convention Centre. He commended the efforts of the Department of Information and Public Relations for engaging and inspiring new generation to develop their individual selves. “Platforms like ‘Youth Conclave’ will motivate Gen Zers to shape the J&K’s social, cultural and economic landscape and eventually make an impact on different sectors,” the LG Sinha said.
On Feb 29, A. K. Choudhary was sworn in as the Chairman, Public Service Commission, Jammu Kashmir at a ceremony held at Raj Bhawan. He took and subscribed to the oath of office before the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
On Feb 29, LG Manoj Sinha interacted with the representatives of Pahari Tribe ST Forum from different parts of Rajouri and Poonch districts at Raj Bhawan.
On Feb 29, LG Manoj Sinha released a Book titled ‘Indian Army – A Wall of Peace for Borders of Jammu Kashmir (UT), authored by M S Nazki, at Raj Bhawan. The Lt Governor congratulated the author on the release of his new book and conveyed his best wishes.
On Feb 29, A delegation of the Faculty Association of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan. A delegation of Association of Recognized Colleges of Health Sciences (J&K) also called on the Lt Governor and expressed their gratitude to J&K Government for granting approval to the filling up of leftover seats for admission to nursing, pharmacy and various paramedical courses in J&K.
On March 01, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a review meeting on Budgetary Expenditure in the UT of Jammu Kashmir, at Civil Secretariat. The meeting was attended by Atal Dulloo, Chief Secretary; Dheeraj Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary Forests; Santosh D Vaidya, Principal Secretary, Finance Department, Administrative Secretaries and senior officials.
On March 01, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha addressed the inaugural ceremony of the industrial unit of Bloomtex Industries Private Limited. The Lt Governor congratulated the Bloomtex Industries for starting the production within one year. He reiterated the commitment of the UT administration to provide a vibrant environment for the growth of industrial sector in Jammu Kashmir.
On March 02, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha virtually addressed the closing ceremony of the Mega Health Camp organized by Rotary Club in Poonch and Rajouri. The Lt Governor lauded the significant contribution of the highly-trained specialists from different parts of the country in providing a full range of surgical treatment options and performing more than 600 surgeries during the week-long health camp in the border districts and benefitting the people of the far-flung areas.
