IUST to host 3-Day Training Prog on Agribusiness Entrepreneurship

Awantipora : Centre for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Development, IUST, in collaboration with CCS National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM) Jaipur on Monday inaugurated a three-day training program on Agripreneurship Development.
The program is aimed to help the youth explore opportunities in agribusiness. The inaugural ceremony of the program was attended Prof. AH Moon, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof. Parvez A. Mir, Director CIED, Dr. Asifa Baba, Dean of students, Industrial Consultants, Dr. Touseef Ahmad, and Er. Parvez Qalander.
In his inaugural address, Prof. A.H. Moon, elucidated on the role of CIED in fostering a culture of innovation among the youth. He emphasized on the imperative of integrating technology in agriculture to unlock its full economic potential and said that agriculture and allied sectors are recognized as focus areas in the New Start Up of Policy 2024. He urged the participants to explore the opportunities in agriculture and assured them the necessary support by IUST.
Director CIED, Prof. Parvez A. Mir, emphasized on the scope of entrepreneurial initiatives in agriculture. He highlighted the importance of seed capital sponsorship for budding entrepreneurs and underscored the pivotal role of converting ideas into viable start-ups.
Er. Parvez Qalander stressed the necessity for agripreneurs to adopt long-term planning strategies to generate sustainable wealth. Emphasizing the importance of effective management and meticulous budgeting, Dr. Touseef Ahmad, urged participants to explore innovative avenues in agriculture and advocated for leveraging entrepreneurial spirit to transform traditional agricultural practices into thriving businesses.
