Kupwara : Vice Chairman DDC Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir on Thursday visited various areas of Lolab sub-division to take stock of post snowfall situation.
The Vice Chairman inspected ongoing snow clearance going on at various link roads of Wavoora block. He urged the concerned officer of R&B to ensure clearance of all link roads by Thursday evening so that the movement of people does not get affected especially in emergencies.
He also took stock of electricity and asked the KPDCL officials to restore the power supply in the areas where it is affected.
During his visit to different areas, VC inspected various houses which had got damaged during the recent snowfall and asked the concerned officers to provide necessary relief to the residents as per norms. The VC also paid a visit to NTPHC Wavoora and inspected its functioning.
