2 Gamblers Arrested In Kulgam, Stake Money Also Seized: Police

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested arrested two gamblers in Kulgam and seized stake money from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that while acting promptly upon a specific inputs about the gambling activities in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kulgam, a police party led by SHO Police Station Kulgam raided the suspected place near Adapora, Kulgam and arrested two persons identified as Javid Ahmad Wani S/o Abdul Rehman Wani R/o Rangrez Pora, Kulgam and Mohd Maqbool Ganie S/o Ghulam Qadir Ganie R/o Larkipora, Kulgam on spot. Police in it’s statements furthermore said that the stake money of Rs 12800 and two sets of playing cards were recovered from the possession of the above named accused who were shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Stating that cases under FIR No. 19/2024 were registered under relevant sections of law at Police Station Kulgam besides which further investigation into the case was also initiated, Police in the concluding para of it’d above quoted statement police appealed people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
