Srinagar : As a part of Civic Action Programme (CAP) of J&K Police, a weeklong Bharat Darshan Tour-2024 of 65 students along with four police officials as Caretakers of District Budgam were flagged-off during an impressive flag-off ceremony at District Police Lines Budgam here on Monday.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar during the flag-off ceremony, SSP Budgam Tahir Gilani along with ASP Budgam Ragav S, Incharge DySP Hqrs Budgam, Incharge DySP DAR DPL Budgam and other officers were present.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Budgam advised the students to avail the opportunity to enrich their knowledge by visiting historical places and marvels of the country. He advised the touring students to imbibe the greatness of the country, its unity and diversity.
The tour is organized by J&K Police and all boarding and lodging facilities including the Air tickets and other logistic facilities are being provided to the touring students by J&K Police. During the tour, the students shall visit the cities of New Delhi and Bangalore.
Notably it is the 5th batch of Bharat Darshan Tour-2024. The first batch embarked from district Srinagar on 29/01/2024 followed by Ganderbal, Kulgam, Baramulla and Police Division Sopore on 31st January, 1st February and 3rd February respectively.
