Srinagar: A Station House Officer has been attached while two police personnel are suspended on Friday two days after an accused was found dead under mysterious circumstances in police custody at Police Station Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
Notably, an accused booked for theft case from Kathua was lodged in Police Station Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
He was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the lock-up.
“After enquiry, the SHO has been attached to the District Police Line while one ASI and a constable are suspended for negligence,” said police sources.
