Baramulla : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa on Wednesday conducted a comprehensive inspection to assess the ongoing development of the Water Supply Scheme (WSS) situated at ParihasporaPattan.
This significant infrastructure project is being executed under the JalJeevan Mission (JJM) at an estimated cost of Rs. 57 crore.
The primary objective of this scheme, upon its successful completion, is to address the pressing issue of water scarcity in 57 adjacent villages, thus catering to the needs of approximately 75,000 individuals residing in these water-stressed areas.
Later, Minga Sherpa accompanied by SDM Pattan, undertook a comprehensive visit to the Community Health Center (CHC) Pattan to check the healthcare standards in place for optimal patient care.
As part of the assessment, the DC inspected wards, ER section, testing centers, consultation centers and other departments to take firsthand appraisal of the services being provided to patients.
During the visit, the DC interacted with the patients and their attendants to enquire about the lack of any healthcare facility or medical malpractice at the hospital.
About the construction work of the roof in one of the blocks of the hospital, Minga Sherpa issued directives to the concerned authorities, urging them to accelerate the work in order to enhance the capacity for handling patient loads more effectively within the facility.
