Era of political exploitation is over: Hakeem

PDF Chief also demands immediate restoration of Statehood, Assembly Elections

Budgam : Chairman J&K Peoples Democratic Front (J&K PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen on Saturday appealed people not to get swayed away by the beaten track policies and falsehood of the political parties who have a history of breaking promise and yet again tend to repeat the past while dreaming of capturing power again. He said that like the last 70 years, these parties have started exploiting innocent people on sectarian, regional and sectarian basis to gain power. He said that such organizations should know that people now know their tactics and now they can never succeed in deceiving the people. He said that now the era of deception and deception politics is over and only those people can win the elections who are honest and who are connected with the people at the ground level.
Talking to delegations of Khansahib Budgam here on Saturday Hakeem told the deputationists that some political parties tend to repeat the past, adding therein that they to regain power by selling fake dreams in their on going political campaigning. He said that repeating the past these parties have started exploiting innocent people on sectarian, regional and sectarian basis to gain power.
He said that people have now realised their tactics and now these people cannot succeed in deceiving the public at large. He said that now the era of deception and deception politics is over and only those people can win elections who are honest and connected with the people on the ground. He said that because of wrong policies during the last 70 years, the people of Jammu and Kashmir are facing the current dire situation, adding therein that due to the unfortunate situation, thousands of precious lives have been lost, thousands of children have become orphans, thousands of sisters have become widows, and property worth billions of rupees has been destroyed. He also said that people are now very tired of violent unrest and they want to live a peaceful life with dignity, adding therein that there is a need to heal the wounds of people and respect the value of their self-respect.
The PDF Chairman also urged the central government to abandon it’s policy of arbitrariness and obstinacy and take effective measures to win the hearts of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He also appealed Home Minister Amit Shah to restore the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir before the proposed assembly elections to build an atmosphere of trust and confidence. He urged the Center to value the political and social aspirations of the people to win their hearts. . He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir should be assured that their land and job rights should not be violated under any circumstances. He said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have been continuously deprived of their elected assembly and democratic rights for the past 9 years, due to which an atmosphere of political and social uncertainty has been created here. He said that there is no response from the administration to public demands at the grass roots and the common people are completely deprived of basic facilities. The PDF Chairman made it clear that to improve the uncertain political and social situation, the statehood of Jammu and Kashmir should be restored immediately with an early call for assembly elections.
