Drug peddler arrested in Bla, Contraband substances also recovered: Police

Srinagar : Police on Monday said that it has arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and also recovered contraband substances from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarter Srinagar Police said that a police party of Police Post Delina headed by Incharge Police Post Delina at a checkpoint established at Juhama Market, intercepted a person identified as Mohd Ayoub Shah S/o Abdul Khaliq R/o Ladoora Rafiabad and during search recovered 270 grams of brown sugar like contraband substance recovered from the possession of the said accused who was arrested and shifted to Police Station Baramulla where he remains in custody.
Stating that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Baramulla besides which investigation into the case was also initiated, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society.
