Drug peddler booked under PIT-NDPS Act in Kulgam: Police

Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has booked a notorious drug peddler under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the habitual offender and a drug peddler identified as Dilawar Javid Bhat S/o Javid Ahmad Bhat R/o Monghal, Anantnag has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.
Police in its statement also said that Kulgam Police has busted several Narcotic and Narco-Militant Modules and have arrested many notorious Drug peddlers in different NDPS cases this year. In the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement police assured people that it has been making all efforts to eradicate social evils to keep our society free from drug abuse.
