Baramulla : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar on Saturday chaired the 2nd District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) meeting for Implementation of PM Vishwakarma Scheme in District Baramulla at the meeting hall of DC office here.
At the outset, General Manager DIC provided a comprehensive overview of progress made with respect to the implementation of Vishwakarma Scheme in the district since its inauguration.
The meeting held a threadbare discussion on various aspects for the successful implementation of the scheme like review of onboarding process of artisans, craftsmen and other skilled people, assessment of registration at gram panchayat and urban areas, plan for the second tier verification process and planning of effective training strategies for the registered applicants.
Speaking during the meeting, the DC directed the concerned officers to ensure maximum registration of the artisans and craftsmen on the vishwakarma portal during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra period.
Dr. Sehrish also instructed the Community Service Centers’ (CSCs) officials to complete the onboarding process of panchayats within 15 days and tasked the Lead District Manager with reviewing pending cases pertaining to Baramulla district on the Vishwakarma portal.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Aijaz Ahamd Saraf; Chief Planning Officer, Javaid Ahmad Najar; Assistant Commissioner Development, Shabir Ahmad Hakak; General Manager District Industries Center (DIC), Program officer ICDS, District Social Welfare officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Assistant Director planning, Executive Officers of Municipalities, Coordinators and other concerned officers.
