Srinagar : In order to inform and empower citizens about the Central Government’s flagship schemes and programmes, police on Wednesday conducted Viksit Bharat Sankalap campaign in Kulgam and Sopore.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being undertaken across the country with the aim of attaining saturation of flagship schemes of the government by ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach all targeted beneficiaries in a time-bound manner and during these events, officers from Kulgam and Sopore Police highlighted various time bound initiatives of J&K Police viz; Sahuliyat app, Emergency response support system, Safety Portal (for speedy disposal of grievances/complaints), Passport Sewa, Employee Verification System, Cyber complaints etc for the betterment of public service. Besides, stress was also laid on to make the society crime/drug free, for which active participation from public was seeked in order to make society better in all aspects.
The officers attending these events highlighted the role of police in strengthening police-public relations, actions taken against drug peddlers, illegal mining mafias and other offenders. Moreover, to address the grievances of general public, PCPG meetings are being held at every Police Station and Police Post of district Kulgam and Police District Sopore continuously.
