Srinagar : Police in Budgam on Tuesday organised an awareness program at Higher Secondary School Hayatpora Budgam. The event was attended by over 100 students and teachers. The programme was focused on educating participants about the prevention of substance abuse.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, during the programme an informative lecture addressing the early signs of substance abuse, methods of detection and the identification of potential abusers was delivered by Ms Insha, incharge Drug Deaddiction Centre DPL Budgam. Moreover, available treatments for addicts were also discussed. The event emphasized the crucial role of teachers in substance abuse prevention. The event also featured a short film on drug addiction.
