CUK’s SBS, distt police hold bike rally to create awareness about cybercrimes

Ganderbal : Guide the Professional (GTP) and District Police, Ganderbal Kashmir with support and participation from School of Business Studies, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) organised a bike rally to generate awareness regarding Cyber Crimes.
According to statement issued from Public Relations Office CUK here, the rally was flagged off from CUK Green Campus by Prof. Fayaz Ahmad Nika, Dean School of Business Studies in the presence of Mr Gulam Hassan Dy Superintendent of Police Headquarter, SHO Ganderbal and Ms. Saba Bhat CEO Guide the Professionals.
The rally passed through different villages and ended at Wayil.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof Fayaz Ahmad Nika underscored the importance of such events when technology has become part and parcel of life and there is sharp increase in cybercrimes like identity theft, cyber stalking and cyber bullying. He said “we have to be very cautious while using technology and spread awareness among masses about cybercrimes and responsible members of society.”
Mr. Gulam Hassan gave a detailed account of the government mechanism that is available to report incidence of cybercrimes. He informed the participants that J&K police is always available to curb the nefarious designs of cyber criminals. Ms. Saba Bhat gave an account of safety tips that need to be followed while using technology. She highlighted the importance of holding such programmes. Mr Aftab Ahmad Dy Sp operations, S M Mandal, SHOs of Ganderbal, Lar and Tulumulla Khirbawani, Rizwan Showkat, Project Manager GTP and Malik Haris, were also present. Certificates of appreciation were also distributed among the participants.
